44 BLACK
By Brooklen Borne
For eight long years, these United States and the world has been turned upside down and inside out, by one family and their personal quest without regards to the citizens who elected them to the highest office in the land of the free world. Their names are 41 and 43. Forty-one became greedy and took his citizens to war against a man and his country in a foreign land for the sake of black gold.Despair began to cover continents one by one like the day when Moses told Ramsey death will come in the form of fog in the night and take the life of the first born of each family that was against the freedom of his people. The citizens had, had enough and 41 had to go. The war came to an end and 42 was voted into office and did wonderful job. The economy began to improve and the citizens were generally happy. But 42 peers were jealous of his fame with the citizens; they became jealous and spread propaganda. The government did a good job brain washing some of its citizens and 42 was ousted for 43. Not all agreed with the departure of 42 and publicly express their anger. Forty-three was at the helm now and he really didn?t care about the harmony of the people as the leader of the most powerful nation in the free world; part being he didn?t have a clue on how to run an office he wasn?t really qualified for. The only thing on his mind was, to finish a job 41 didn?t complete while his stay in the land of taxation without representation.
The U.S. along with the rest of the world was in turmoil, in which no one had the answer to of getting out of. So on bended knees and through silent and vocal prayers of all faiths, the Lord heard their cries and out of Illinois a voice descended upon the people. The voice said, ?There will be hope. We need change. I do understand you. My promises will be upheld to you and there will be compassion for all without with out jeopardizing our national security and together we can collectively improve our way of life.? Around the globe young, old, rich, poor, black, white, red, yellow, and brown lifted their heads. Eyes that were once closed were now open. Ears that could not hear were now tuned, like a fine musical instrument. It was 44 Black?s voice.
At the time no one knew who 44 was, but they loved the words that were coming out of his mouth and the conviction in which he said it. He had every ones attention. As each day went by his status grew. Citizens around the world, even those who couldn?t speak 44?s language, understood and loved what he was saying to them. He had charisma, he had swagger, not to mention his good looks and the wonderful skin tone of his ancestor?s. But what was most important to the people, 44 had solutions to the agony the people had been enduring for so long.
Forty-four had to win a race first. A race many entered sponsored by the government, every four years but the U.S. citizens would make the ultimate decision as to which candidate would be victorious. Those that entered the race wanted to be called 44, but none of them wanted to be called 44 Black; except for one. As the race turned into days and days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months 44 Black was the front runner; with one person on his heels. But on November 4th, the people spoke and 44 Black made history, by winning the race. Around the world people cried with joy, especially in the United States; they all celebrated 44?s triumph like no other before him. The U.S. citizens knew they had made the right choice and on January 20th the people came out in masses to the nation?s capitol, to hear 44?s oath; while the rest of the world watched on their televisions or jumbotrons. His words were:
?I Barack Hussein Obama do solemnly swear, that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States; so help me God.?
And the people around the world in unison yelled out, ?Yes We Can!?
