"Bringing Thoughts 2 Life"

Excerpt from "Being Homeless Is Not an Option"

A week had passed with no communication from Donna; not even a five minute phone call to check on the kids.  James decided enough was enough.  After dropping the girls off at school, he went to pay Donna a visit at her job.  Twenty-five minutes later, James' silver Mercedes comes to a stop in front of 1100 New York Avenue NW, D.C.; where the Johnny Cochran firm is located.  No sooner than James exited his car, Donna and another associate were leaving the building.  James walked up to her and asked,

"What's going on?  I haven't heard from you in a week.  You haven't called to check on your children; they miss you.  What's up with you Donna?

"James this isn't the time."

"What you mean, this isn't the time?  When will it be the time?  You haven't called or anything.  So tell me Donna, when will it be the time?"  James asked again; showing an expression of frustration.

"Look, I have an important meeting with a client.  So I don't have time to stand here and chat with you."

"Are you telling me, you don't have five minutes to check on or care about the welfare of your children?"  Donna rolled her eyes and began to walk away, when James reached up and grabbed her by the arm.  Donna looked down at her arm, where she was being held and then looked back up at James and said,

"If you don't get your damn hands off me!"  Not releasing his grip, James looked at Donna and replied,

"If Johnny was alive, I don't think he would approve of one of his attorneys, walking out on her family, not giving a shit about her chidren, making a partner in his firm."  Donna pulled her arm from James' grip with force and walked away with her associate in tow; to an awaiting taxi.  James stood there in shock for a minute, as he watched Donna walk away.  All of a sudden, everything became clear; he now realize that Donna didn't give a damn what happens to him or their children.

Now what is James going to do?  What ever he decides, his two young daughter's future is riding on his decision.
