Being Homeless...Reviewed by Kisha Green (Blog Talk Radio Talkshow Host/Author) New Jersey
In the debut novella Being Homeless Is Not An Option by newcomer on the literary scene Brooklen Borne. He brings light to a topic that many would shy away from-the reality of being homeless...but more so when it is at no falut of your own.
In Being Homeless Is Not An Option, readers are introduced to character's James and Donna Brentwood, who for some, are living the typical American dream; marriage, career and children. Everything is going well until the unforseen day when James goes into work and reveives a memo that will forever change his life.
Where in some books the storyline plays out this happily ever after, but with this novella, that is not the case (in some areas) and reader's are captivated by the author's capability to bring the story to life, but also showing you that this can happen to you.
Reader's will be entertained by the author's ability to capture the sentiment of his character's but more so, making you the reader feel as if the circumstance is one of your very own. The author's skill to bring his characters to life was an added benefit.
Being Homeless Is Not An Option, is a great read and the only disappointment will be, you want the story to go on; but just like most good things, this book comes to and end but the author leaves the reader wanting more; not just in a story sense but also from this fresh author.
This novella is an extraordinary way to introduce the literary world to Brooklen Borne and with the superb writing skills, this author displays, he will definitely be around for the longevity.
Literary job well done to Brooklen Borne for Being Homeless Is Not An Option!

Mr. B. "Being Homeless..." is a wonderful written reality which speaks well into the hearts of all. It is something that every night we pray will never happen, but we also pray that if it did occur, it can turn around just as fast and as wonderful as James'. The book flows just as smooth as the Jazz player, playing the blues...Wundabar! Keep up the good work!
Zaijian!

I enjoyed your book very much, Brother. Truly it was just like listening to a beautiful soul music with lots of reality. It also brought me back old memories that I treasure from living in LA for 5 years. Those names of songs and TV programs, etc... made me wanna go back to the U.S. The story was fresh, rhythmical to read on, and soulful. Thank you for a great reading experience. I'm looking forward to your next episode. You are an inspiration to me. I will write about your work in my Japanese blog someday soon, so Japanese people will know there's one genuine writer exists in my extended family. :]
Have a good weekend, Bro. Let us keep brushing up and exploring our originalities for ever. ONE LOVE!!
